Cool Yule

Hey Guys!

My friends and I attended a holiday cocktail party a few weeks ago, in light of the holidays and wintery season ahead of us. Vivint hosted the, "Cool Yule" where students came dressed up for fancy refreshments and "mocktail" drinks. Thanks to Drew Van Dyke and Stephen Andersen for all their hard work; the event was a success! There was a lit up dance floor where the walls were all windows, a mini casino with pretend chips, and a photo op area with presents as a backdrop. It was a really classy, fun way to start off the winter season. It wasn't a bad scene seeing the boys of Logan dressed up in suits and ties either! Some even wore bow ties, now THAT'S class right there. Logan is chock-full of different social events, you'd never get bored; It's only a matter of keeping up! I met so many different people that I see on campus all the time now. This event is definitely going in the books as one of my many highlights at USU.

Cheers,
E

Happy holidays!

Pure Bliss

What’s up Aggies!!

My friends and I went to Beaver Mountain to kick start the season. Beaver is only about 35 minutes away from campus making it a love/hate relationship for me. It makes it so tempting to go up every day, but in reality school’s first! The moment my snowboard hit the white, snowy, powder, I was in heaven. I find a sense of relaxation and happiness while boarding; it’s just you and the mountain. The scenery is more than you could ever imagine, with the frost-bitten trees and cold fog that surrounds you. My absolute favorite is going through trees where the powder is fresh and barely touched. You feel like you’re gliding/floating on a huge cloud as you carefully compose a path, weaving through the trees. We hit a few kickers, boxes, tabletops, but NO RAILS! I still have yet to muster up the confidence to hit a rail again after seeing my life flash before my eyes while trying one out last season.

It’s so much fun seeing other students up on the mountain too. You’d be surprised how many people you will recognize and as cheesy as it sounds, I believe it brings people together. You share the same passion for the mountains and for USU so what could be better than that!
I could go on and on about how magical the experience is up at Beaver Mountain, but it still wouldn’t do any justice to really explain what it’s like…I guess all you future Aggies need to come to Logan and see for yourself!

We Love Beaver Mountain!

     Ride on,
